Overview of Great VA Programs

1. Street Outreach

Street outreach teams canvas known encampments and hotspots, connecting unsheltered veterans with immediate necessities—shelter, food, medical triage, and a listening ear. Our peer specialists share lived experience to build trust, then coordinate emergency beds via the Homeless Shelter Directory or 24/7 crisis support through the Veterans Crisis Line (Dial 988).

2. Emergency & Transitional Housing

Short-term beds (30–90 days) in shelters, hotel vouchers, or transitional facilities while you work toward permanent placement. Key grant:

We handle your SSVF application, run skill-building workshops during your stay, and craft a “move-on” plan from day one.

3. HUD-VASH Vouchers

A partnership between HUD & VA combining Section 8 rent assistance with wrap-around clinical case management. Details at HUD-VASH. We prepare your application, negotiate with landlords, cover move-in costs, and provide ongoing tenancy support to prevent returns to homelessness.

4. VA Community Resource & Referral Centers (CRRC)
